In this evening talk, Ken will lead a "guided tour" into the mysteries of the Heart Sutra. Probably the most famous of all Buddhist scriptures, and probably the most enigmatic, the Heart Sutra has inspired, puzzled, and illumined countless generations of practitioners. Ken will draw on commentaries both ancient and modern, including those by Hakuin and Red Pine, and his own recently published An Arrow to the Heart.

Spoken in a voice that is neither pious nor academic, hectoring nor detached, An Arrow to the Heart is a fine example of the new wave in contemporary Buddhist writing. In its quietly relentless way, this pithy and unorthodox commentary to the Heart Sutra leaves you with nowhere to stand but right here.
— Stephen Batchelor, author of Buddhism Without Beliefs
