Form is emptiness.
Emptiness is form.
Emptiness is not other than form.
Form is not other than emptiness.
For centuries these four sentences have echoed down the corridors of time.
Surprisingly, these four lines, and the Heart Sutra, bring the reader directly into the very quality that makes a life of compassion possible, namely, the perfection of wisdom. But this wisdom is a mystery — it cannot be understood intellectually, but it can be known through experience.
In this one-day retreat, participants will take an experiential journey into the mysteries of the perfection of wisdom. Through a combination of meditation practice, reflective frameworks, and pointing out instructions, Ken will guide participants into the central teaching of the Heart Sutra — anything is possible.

KEN McLEOD, a senior Western teacher of Buddhism, is also one of the most innovative. Formerly a translator for Kalu Rinpoche and other Tibetan Buddhist lamas, Ken consistently goes beyond standard terminology to express the essence of Buddha's teachings in clear, precise, contemporary English.
Well versed in the Heart Sutra, Ken will draw on commentaries both ancient and modern, including those by Hakuin and Red Pine, and his own recently published commentary, An Arrow to the Heart. For more information on An Arrow to the Heart, or to buy a copy, please click here.
